Outreach Activities
Job Fair at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
On Wednesday, November 5, 2003 Sea-Comm, Inc. participated in the University of NorthCarolina at Wilmington Internship and Job Fair. Steve Tighe, Programming Director for WSFM, and Missy Andrus, Promotions Director, represented the company. The event was held on the campus of the university and was open to both university students and the community at large. The majority of participants that expressed interest in Sea-Comm, Inc. were interested in careers and internships in Promotions/Marketing and Accounting. Several employment applications were distributed and in return several resumes were collected for the company.
Intern Program
Sea-Comm, Inc. operates a year round internship program through the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. During each semester we will take two interns for a six to eight week period. The requirement is that the intern has to be a major in the Mass Communications course or Marketing. This program has been in effect for over five years and Sea-Comm, Inc. has hired three interns over the years after they had graduated. Over the past year we have had two interns participate in our program.
